Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire fire control rooms have begun to work together during times of crisis and high use, such that calls can be taken more quickly and fire services can operate more efficiently to assist people.
If you are in Norfolk, Suffolk or Hertfordshire:
You will not see a change to your service during non-peak times, your most local fire control room will take your call and assist you with your emergency.
This plan has been devised to help in times of crisis such as “Extreme Weather Events and major fires”
If you are in an emergency
Call 999, their systems will automatically direct you to the best fire service to take your call, no matter where you are, this will usually be your local control room. However, at times of increased fire or danger activity: Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire will have shared resources to assist you more quickly.
