Steph Buller

Steph Buller, PhD Researcher is pursuing doctoral research at Cardiff University, specialising in disaster risk management and resilience. Her work focuses on the use of indicators in multi-hazard and multi-risk contexts to improve understanding and practice in disaster risk reduction, community resilience, and emergency planning. Steph has a strong academic foundation, graduating top of her class in both Geography & Natural Hazards (BSc) and Disaster Risk Reduction (MRes), and has blended her research with cross-sector experience including work with multi-agency resilience forums. 

Passionate about enhancing public preparedness and resilience, Steph also engages with professional groups and contributes to wider discussions on risk communication, policy, and societal vulnerability. Her research seeks to inform evidence-based strategies that strengthen both local and national resilience to diverse hazards.
